1. Santa Cruz: Beaches, Boardwalk and Scenic Highway 1 North. Just 48 miles to the west, approximately 1 hour ride. Cruise West Cliff drive on a beautiful summer afternoon or take the coast Highway 1 to all points north.
2.  Monterey: Cannery Row, Fishermans Wharf and the incredible Monterey Bay Aquarium. 45 miles south and west of Hollister, about a 1 hour ride. Excellent shopping and recently voted in the Top 10 Wine Tours of the World. Beautiful coast Highway 1 to points south.
3.  Gilroy: Home of the annual Garlic Festival and “The Outlets” shopping center. Only 16 miles north, about 20 minutes. This is also the closest In-n-Out Burger… just sayin’.
4.  Pinnacles National Monument: 32 miles south along twisty county Highway 25. This is a fun ride even if you don’t want to visit “The Pinnacles”. Take Highway 25 down to King City & Highway 101 or follow it to 198 East (another fun road) to get yourself to Interstate 5 South.
