Fire & Ice is another Corb-innovation! This newest version of our extremely popular Dual Touring saddle is the World's first production Heated AND Cooled motorcycle saddle. Corbin was first to bring the luxury of heated seating to your motorcycle and now we've created an option for relief of your burnin' bum during the Summer months. Like all Corbin break throughs, this system is designed for simple installation and is fully self contained in the saddle. Simplicity, Form and Function all wrapped up in one neat package.

Mr C picked up a cool thermal imaging device and we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to play around with the nifty gadget. Although the color time lapse video (above) is interesting to watch, this greyscale comparison actually tells the story more concisely. The two images in this comparison were shot just seven minutes apart with the first image being on "Cool" and the second image flipped to "Heat". In these images, dark is cold and white is hot... Wide, sculpted seating positions create a larger area of contact for excellent weight distribution. Shaped like your body to eliminate pressure points and give long lasting support that will keep you in the saddle all day. Slight rearward lean helps keep your body planted in the seat and curbs sliding in the saddle. Tall model offers seating further back from the bars and is taller as well to take some bend out of your knees.

Corbin's rigid fibertech basepan provides a perfect fit and is built low to hug the frame. This allowed us to create a foam shape that keeps you in the sweet spot which provides a better center of gravity and more positive feeling of control. Deep, supportive bucket design gives five inches of vertical support (15" with #BR backrest installed). All of this adds up to a very relaxed posture and comfortable ride.

Inside, our exclusive Comfort Cell foam provides firm support that stays resilient indefinitely. We cast this special Closed Cell material nearly twice as firm as the stock foam to support your body weight. Soft foam allows your body to fall through it the longer you sit on it... once compressed it offers no resilience and you experience discomfort. That's why we always say "firm is a good thing!"

Rider's seating area is designed to work with an optional Corbin backrest for added comfort and support. Angle adjustable to fit a wide variety of statures and riding postures. Internal hardware keeps a clean look on your bike, allows positioning fore-aft and folds down to make it easier to swing a leg over your bike. Works with a variety of Corbin backrest models. We recommend model #BR Edge (shown) for a very good blend of form and function.

Passenger seating area works with virtually any configuration of Harley-Davidson detachables. Use it with a King Tour-Pak, Chopped Tour-Pak or with the Harley sissy bar system. We also offer a coordinated sissybar and trunk pads to keep your whole saddle system coordinated.

On the Chopped Tour-Pak above we show our Slim Trunkrest option (#HD-PAK-14-S-PAD). On the sissybar, we show our #SR Edge sissybar pad. See the Accessories tab for the complete lineup of backrest options.

July 2024: We have updated the cover pattern for a slightly cleaner look, click on the image at right for a larger view. All components include genuine leather seating inserts for a luxurious ride. Leather seating is durable, will breathe with your body and adapt with the foam shape as it breaks in. Vinyl side panels help to support the foam shape and keep the cover looking nice longer. About Fire & Ice: Ever hear of the Peltier Effect? If so, you've probably already figured out the basics of how the Corbin Fire & Ice system works. With just a couple of fans and some clever application we can include both heat and cool in the same saddle without pumps, compressors or fluids. It should be noted the cooling effect is affected by ambient temperature. The system will quickly cool the surface 10-15 degrees below ambient temperature. On the heat side we thermostatically set it to top out at approximately 110 degrees. The degree of heat/cool you experience will, of course, be influenced by the type of riding gear you wear.

Simple installation uses a tongue in the front and a single bolt into your fender at the rear. For tool free installation and a very clean look we offer a machined stainless steel thumbscrew for this location (see Accessories Tab). If you opt for electric heat, we include a wiring pigtail that integrates with the HD wiring harness. Dual Tour saddle works with HD crashbar installed.
