- Santa Cruz: Beaches, Boardwalk and Scenic Highway 1 North. Just 48 miles to the west, approximately 1 hour ride. Cruise West Cliff Drive on a beautiful summer afternoon or take Highway 1 to points north.
- Monterey: Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf and the incredible Monterey Bay Aquarium. 45 miles south and west of Hollister, about a 1 hour ride. Excellent shopping and beautiful coastal Highway 1 to points south.
- Gilroy: Home of the annual Garlic Festival and the Outlets shopping center. Only 16 miles north, about 20 minutes. This is also the closest In-N-Out Burger... just sayin'.
- Pinnacles National Monument: 32 miles south along twisty Highway 25. This is a fun ride even if you don't visit the Pinnacles. Take Highway 25 down to King City and Highway 101, or follow it to Highway 198 East for another fun road toward Interstate 5 South.
