Classic Solo & Pillion for 2008 Triumph Rocket III Touring
A classy nostalgic look combined with excellent rider comfort and versatility. Corbin's Classic Solo is specially designed to keep a classy looks of your Rocket while providing generous, ergonomically designed seating. Additionally, the Solo Saddle accepts a removable backrest for added comfort and support. Run the Solo by itself for a rugged, low look or add the passenger pillion for two-up cruising.
Classic Solo is engineered to work along with the Triumph accessory sissy bar or with the Corbin trunk as shown above. Naturally, it will also work without either of these items for a clean, slammed look.
Classic Solo accepts an optional Corbin removable backrest for added support. In the solo seat, you get a total of 13 inches of vertical support with #02-S backrest installed (shown). Corbin backrests are sculpted to fit the shape of your back and provide the maximum contact patch. Naturally they are fully adjustable to provide a tailored fit to your posture. Installation and adjustment is simple.
All Corbin saddles are designed with what we call "Ergonomic Shaping". This means the saddle's seating area is shaped to fit the curve of your body and provide proper weight distribution. This also gives more square inches of body contact to help eliminate hot spots and centralized pressure. Neutralized platforms help to curb sliding in the saddle and reduce rider fatigue.
For an added bit of luxury on those chilly morning rides, Classic Solo is available with an internal seat heater. With a simple flip of the conveniently located switch, the saddle will warm up and maintain temperature automatically. Heater and controller are built inside the saddle and preinstalled. We include a wiring pigtail that integrates with your Triumph wiring for simple installation.
Inside, our exclusive Comfort Cell foam provides a firm, resilient ride that lasts. Our foam is firmer than stock so it can support your body weight for long days on the road without breaking down. Over time, Comfort Cell will break in and take on your body shape for a personalized fit to your posture. Although Corbin seats feel firm when you first ride on them, it is this firmness that supports your body and helps the saddle work properly.
Built up on a Fibertech basepan that provides a solid, non-flexible platform to support the foam shape and provide the necessary structural integrity to support our backrest system. Basepan rides on rubber bumpers to protect you paint job and gives a perfect fit to every arc and curve of the bike. Solo and pillion saddles mount simply and include all necessary brackets. Classic solo uses a unique key lock mounting built into the saddle. Once brackets are installed on the bike, saddle will mount / remove with the twist of a key!
If you prefer a totally solo look, you can mount the Solo by itself without a passenger pad. This makes a very clean look, but keep in mind you will have to do something about the rear seat mounting hole in the fender. We've found that a chrome button head screw makes a nice cover and is a simple, inexpensive solution.
Both saddles and backrest are richly tailored with genuine leather seating panels. Solo and pillion come standard with our natural grain black Mercedes leather seating, Asphalt vinyl side panels and a tasteful stitch pattern. Leather will provide a nice perch that breathes with your body and will break in along with the foam shape for a personalized fit.
If you'd like to add a handy bit of storage to your bike, the finishing plate on the rear of the Corbin backrest can be replaced with an optional Glovebox. Providing four liters of locking storage, the Glovebox is perfect for small travel essentials like spare gloves, cell phones, maps and bottled water. Available in plain black ABS or prepainted gloss black for a little extra. For complete details, please view the Accessory tab.

Take good care of your new seat and the seat will take good care of you. Designed to help your leather saddle remain weather resistant and keeps the hide supple. This will allow the leather to break in and age gracefully. Great for boots, gloves & jackets too. Simple rub-in, buff out application. *More Info*
Our most popular backrest model is the perfect blend of form and function. The size looks visually appropriate on most every seat yet is large enough to provide good, sculpted support. Works well in either the rider's or passenger's position. The standard Ovalbac is available with a range of finishing plate options to dress up the rear including chrome! *More Info*
The standard Corbin backrest for years! This model is the same size and shape as the Standard Ovalbac above, but without the hole in the middle. Provides plenty of sculpted back support without looking too big on the bike. Works in both the rider or passenger seating area on virtually all Corbin saddle models. This model also has the option of chrome studs if desired. *More Info*
Like the Standard Ovalbac show above, but with a larger contact area for added support. Works great as a passenger backrest in Dual Touring models. Because of the added width, we do not recommend this model in the front position while carrying a passenger... it may interfere with their legs. Sculpted to provide wide ergonomic support. Offers a variety of finishing plate options to customize the rear (sorry, no chrome). *More Info*
This model is specially designed to be used in the large Dual Touring seats (like HD Baggers) or in Master's Type saddles as found on the Goldwings. Sculpted for extended support both vertically and horizontally, but cut away at the bottom to provide clearance for passenger's legs. A variety of finishing plate options are available to customize the rear. *More Info*
If you want the functionality of a backrest, but also want the smallest appearance possible, this is the backrest model for you. This one is most often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models (thus the name). Includes a variety of finishing plate options for the rear. *More Info*
A convenient storage solution that looks great too. Corbin's Glove Box bolts up easily to your #02-S(B) model backrest in place of the rear finishing plate to provide four liters of locking storage. Available in primer or pre-painted. Some color matches are available depending on bike make and model. Comes fully lined too! *More Info*
