Touring Pillion & Sissy Bar Pad for 2009 Yamaha Star V-Max
Is your passenger worried about sliding off the back of your muscle bike? Are they crying out for more comfort? We've got just the solution for you!
Corbin's Touring pillion offers wider, sculpted seating for more square inches of body contact and contoured support. Gives your passenger touring quality comfort while blending in visually with the design of the V-Max for a clean look. Designed to work with the Yamaha sissy bar system or with an optional Corbin backrest for total long range comfort.
Corbin's backrest installs into hardware built into the Touring Pillion for a cleaner look and simple installation. Just one screw locks it in place and provides your passenger with nine inches of vertical support. Simple angle adjustment can be made without removing the backrest or seat from the motorcycle. Naturally, our touring pillion works with any of the Corbin backrest models available, but we recommend the #02-SB Ovalbac shown here for the best combination of looks and support.
Alternately, the Corbin pillion will work with the Yamaha Accessory sissy bar system. This system (available from your Yamaha dealer) includes a short sissybar pad that makes a great bump stop for your copilot. However if you're looking for passenger support, we offer a taller sissybar pad that provides approximately 10 inches of vertical support. Designed with steel support structure internal to the pad for a clean look that slips right into place on the Yamaha side rails. Generous contact patch gives excellent, long range support.
All components are built up with our infinite ratio Comfort Cell foam for a firm supportive ride that lasts. This closed cell material remains resilient indefinitely to cradle your body in comfort. Sculpted with an ergonomic shape to eliminate hot spots and increase the area of support.
On top, Corbin uses only the finest materials for a custom look that will last. On these components we use a new material called Carbonium to integrate visually with the stock V-Max components. Combined with our Asphalt vinyl and red stitching and each of the Corbin components can be mixed with stock pieces and look great. This allows you to get just the parts you want for your riding needs.
On the back of the Corbin sissy bar pad and backrest models, we use a Carbon-Fiber look ABS to further integrate the components visually with the V-Max. These material selections were made to best coordinate with the bike, but as with all Corbin products we offer custom choices at no additional charge if desired.
If you're looking to add a little storage space to your V-Max, how 'bout this cool new glovebox for the rear of your backrest (#02-S & #297 models only). Designed to carry four liters of your essential stuff like cell phones, spare gloves, bottled water, maps and sunglasses. Constructed of durable ABS and painted gloss black for a perfect finish. You can leave this mounted on your backrest full time or swap it with the Carbon-Fiber finishing plate as needed. Installation is just two screws! Comes fully lined and weather stripped with two keys. Click on over to the Glovebox page to learn more HERE.
Touring Pillion installation is a cinch with just two bolts at the front just like stock. Seat comes ready to install and reuses the factory seat mounting bolts. Fits perfect against the rider seat backrest and fender for a totally custom look. Sissy bar pad mounts directly to the Yamaha sissy bar side rails with hardware integrated into the pad.

COMFORT CELL® FOAM: The heart of the Corbin saddle! Our exclusive, purpose built foam material, called Comfort Cell, was created to provide a firm, resilient ride that doesn't break down. This means it will support you for long days on the road. Over time, Comfort Cell will break in to provide a personalized fit to your posture and even greater comfort! ERGONOMIC SHAPING: A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell... more comfort for a longer ride! Just click the button at left for an animation that shows how it works.
PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY: Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding technology which is now the process by which all Corbin saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and base material. To see what this is all about, just click the button for More Info
GENUINE LEATHER: We use leather in all panels of the seat that contact your body. This provides a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Leather will also break in along with the foam shape to support the personalized fit. Available in a wide range of textures and styles to suit your taste. FIBERTECH™ BASEPAN: A purpose built, hybrid material that provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the Corbin saddle. Provides a precision fit to every arc and contour of the machine and rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint. Click on the button at left to learn more...
CORBIN BACKREST SYSTEM: The first and most versatile removable backrest system available for motorcycles! Corbin's backrests provide added vertical back support and long range comfort. Touring Pillion installs very easily with just two bolts. Simply remove the stock rear seat by opening the fuel access and remove the two Allen head screws holding the front of the seat. Slide the seat forward to remove and install the Corbin seat in it's place, reusing the stock bolts.
Corbin's Tall Sissy bar pad installs in place of the short pad that is included with the Yamaha sissy bar kit #2S3-F84V0-V0-00. Side brackets are not included with the Corbin sissy bar pad.

Take good care of your new seat and the seat will take good care of you. Designed to help your leather saddle remain weather resistant and keeps the hide supple. This will allow the leather to break in and age gracefully. Great for boots, gloves & jackets too. Simple rub-in, buff out application. *More Info*
Our most popular backrest model is the perfect blend of form and function. The size looks visually appropriate on most every seat yet is large enough to provide good, sculpted support. Works well in either the rider's or passenger's position. The standard Ovalbac is available with a range of finishing plate options to dress up the rear including chrome! *More Info*
The standard Corbin backrest for years! This model is the same size and shape as the Standard Ovalbac above, but without the hole in the middle. Provides plenty of sculpted back support without looking too big on the bike. Works in both the rider or passenger seating area on virtually all Corbin saddle models. This model also has the option of chrome studs if desired. *More Info*
Like the Standard Ovalbac show above, but with a larger contact area for added support. Works great as a passenger backrest in Dual Touring models. Because of the added width, we do not recommend this model in the front position while carrying a passenger... it may interfere with their legs. Sculpted to provide wide ergonomic support. Offers a variety of finishing plate options to customize the rear (sorry, no chrome). *More Info*
This model is specially designed to be used in the large Dual Touring seats (like HD Baggers) or in Master's Type saddles as found on the Goldwings. Sculpted for extended support both vertically and horizontally, but cut away at the bottom to provide clearance for passenger's legs. A variety of finishing plate options are available to customize the rear. *More Info*
If you want the functionality of a backrest, but also want the smallest appearance possible, this is the backrest model for you. This one is most often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models (thus the name). Includes a variety of finishing plate options for the rear. *More Info*
All the functionality of an adjustable backrest, combined with the smallest profile possible. This model is often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models just like the #02-G shown above. Includes genuine leather seating and color coordinating options just like our saddles *More Info*
A convenient storage solution that looks great too. Corbin's Glove Box bolts up easily to your #02-S(B) model backrest in place of the rear finishing plate to provide four liters of locking storage. Available in primer or pre-painted. Some color matches are available depending on bike make and model. Comes fully lined too! *More Info*
