Our Canyon Dual Sport saddle design for the Tiger Explorer converts your stock two-piece seat into a very comfortable single piece unit with provisions for two optional backrests. Designed to maximize the comfort and usability of your bike while providing clean, custom looks.
By converting to a one-piece basepan, we were able to better place the seating position in the sweetspot to accomodate taller riders AND give good ground reach (the Tiger is a tall bike so keep expectations within reason). As an example, one of our test subjects is about 6'6" and found the seating postion to be excellent even while the seat height of our saddle is just slightly lower than the stock seat in the LOW position. We know this sounds unbelievable, but it works!
Another benefit of the single basepan is that it provides the structural integrity to support internal backrest hardware in both the rider and passenger seating positions. Corbin backrests install and remove easily into this internal hardware to provide a clean installation with excellent added support. Our Canyon Dual Sport saddle works with a single backrest transferred front to back as needed or you can use two backrests full time. Backrests angle adjust to rider posture without having to remove them from the seat. Rider's position also features a fore/aft adjustment and folds down to ease mounting the bike.
This seat provides platforms that offer an increased area of body contact to give excellent weight dispersion and eliminate hot spots. Neutralized to curb the tendency to slide in the saddle which will greatly reduce fatigue. The shaping of the Corbin saddle relieves centralized pressure and supports from the sides. We build the saddle up with high-density Comfort Cell foam for a firm, supportive ride that lasts. Comfort Cell will support you for years and will provide a personalized fit after break in.
Covered using genuine leather for a perch that breathes with your body. Our quality leather will break in along with your foam for a luxurious ride. Just make sure you care for your saddle with a quality conditioner like Corbin's Saddle Cream. On this model we've used natural grain black leather in the seating with Asphalt vinyl sides, ghost grey welts and grey stitching. A coordinating colored welt and our tasteful stitch pattern add a nice subtle touch.
For the ultimately luxurious ride we include seat heaters in both the rider and passenger seating areas. They wire simply into your fusebox and feature a single control for the front and rear heaters. Switch is located on the left side panel (so you can keep your hand on the throttle) and is illuminated to indicate status. Corbin's tasteful tuck & roll stitch pattern adds a nice touch of class and is required to provide for the seat heater elements.
As an extra added value, Corbin's Ovalbac backrest models have a custom finishing plate option included at no extra charge. We have a standard leather-look plate, a Carbon-Fiber look or primer if you'd like to have it custom painted. For a little extra we can provide the finishing plate prepainted gloss black. Please be sure to choose your finishing plate option when ordering.
