Classic Solo for 1998 - 2007 Road Glide & 1997 - 2005 Electra-Glide
The uniquely styled Classic Solo looks excellent while providing an extraordinary amount of rider comfort. Notice how the sculpting of Corbin's seating platform conforms to the shape of your body for support and more square inches of body contact. This is one of the secrets of long range comfort and is a staple of Corbin design. To add to the nostalgic appeal of your bagger, we offer an optional chrome V-rail that bolts directly to the saddle. For added back support it also accepts an optional rider's backrest that provides an additional nine inches of vertical support. To provide
maximum versatility, Corbin's Classic solo will mount in conjunction with two different styles of passenger pillion seats.
Got reach issues on your Bagger? We also make a "Close" version of the Classic solo that provides seating two inches closer to the bars for an easier reach. We've also made the nose a little narrower to allow for easier ground reach. To figure out which design is best for you, just follow these simple steps: Sit on the motorcycle in your regular riding posture and have a friend measure from the threaded hole in your fender to the area where you are seated. Now compare this measurement with the attached diagram to get the right seating position for your stature.
Both Classic solo and Close solo accept a removable rider's backrest for added support. Our backrest installs easily into hardware concealed inside the saddle for a very clean look. In order to fit a wide range of riders, it is fully angle adjustable. Just install the backrest into the saddle, lock it in place with a single set screw and adjust the backrest angle to suit your needs.
Corbin's V-Rail easily bolts up directly to the Corbin saddle and comes to you in show quality chrome for a perfect look. The V-rail must be removed to install a passenger pillion pad or to work with the Tour Pac in the FORWARD position.
For maximum versatility we've designed the Corbin solo saddles to work with two different style passenger pillion seats. For a very sly, low-profile look the Hollywood pillion is the choice. This model is great for occasional passengers that ride with you on short to medium length trips. It is built with our exclusive high-density Comfort Cell® foam to provide firm support that lasts.
For more touring class comfort, our Touring Pillion is the choice for you. This model offers a wider seating area for more square inches of body contact. The seating area has also been sculpted to provide an ergonomic fit to your passenger's body and eliminate hot spots. Both the Hollywood and Touring pillion work with a variety of H-D accessories and options like the "detachable" sissy bar or the Tour Pac models. Corbin also makes a coordinated backrest pad (#RK-PAD) to complete the custom look on your bike. Either of these pillions comes decorated in your choice of leather styles to coordinate with your Corbin solo saddle.
There are two models of trunk commonly available to fit the FLH models: The standard Tour Pac and the low profile "pizza box" style. The Tour Pac trunk accepts either our Trunk Armrest (#132) for maximum passenger comfort and support or our new slimline trunkrest pad (#502) for a cleaner look. If you prefer the slimmer look of the pizza box style trunk, you will want the slimline trunkrest pad to match. Both trunkrest models are contoured to fit the shape of your passenger's back and maximize support with a genuine leather cover that matches your saddle design. Installation of the Trunk Armrest uses stock holes in your Tour Pac; installation of the slimline pad requires 4 holes be drilled in trunk lid. Both of Corbin's solo seats work with the Tour Pac in the rear or forward position in place of a passenger seat.
Corbin's Ovalbac series backrests come covered to match your saddle, but also offer the option of custom finishing plates on the rear. Backrests come standard with ABS leather look backing plate but you can choose an aluminum look, carbon-fiber look or even a paintable model at no added charge. For a little extra we offer pre-painted gloss black or the chromed steel model shown.
Saddles, backrests and trunkpads all include genuine leather seating panels in your choice of colors and styles. In the side panels we use a coordinating vinyl material to keep the saddle looking sharp longer and support the foam shape. We also include the option of chrome studs at no additional. Leather seating will perform for years and add value to your Corbin investment. Over time it will develop its own unique character just like your leather jacket. Be sure to care for it properly with a quality conditioner like Corbin's Saddle Cream to keep the hide supple and weather resistant.

This means it will support you for long days on the road. Over time, Comfort Cell will break in to provide a personalized fit to your posture and even greater comfort! ERGONOMIC SHAPING: A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell... more comfort for a longer ride! Just click the button at left for an animation that shows how it works.
PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY: Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding technology which is now the process by which all Corbin saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and base material. To see what this is all about, just click the button for More Info
FIBERTECH™ BASEPAN: A purpose built, hybrid material that provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the Corbin saddle. Provides a precision fit to every arc and contour of the machine and rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint. Click on the button at left to learn more...
GENUINE LEATHER: We use leather in all panels of the seat that contact your body. This provides a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Leather will also break in along with the foam shape to support the personalized fit. Available in a wide range of textures and styles to suit your taste. CORBIN BACKREST SYSTEM: The first and most versatile removable backrest system available for motorcycles! Corbin's backrests provide added vertical back support and long range comfort. Installation Instructions: [ Page 1 ] [ Page 2 ] Classic solo installs on a new keylock system. All brackets and required hardware is included so it's ready to go right out of the box.
First install the Corbin rear fender bracket on your bike using the studs and nuts already in your fender. Please note, Corbin's saddle will not work with the passenger grab rail installed. Remove the stock nuts and place the included bracket and washers on the studs. Center bracket on the studs and secure with stock nuts. Tighten to 8 ft lbs.
Now install the front clamshell bracket on the bike as shown and secure with the included bolts and washers. Center the bracket in the slot and tighten bolts to 10 ft lbs. Stainless steel latch pin should already be installed on Corbin bracket... If not, tread in latch pin with split lock washer and tighten to 8 ft lbs.
Your seat will now install by sliding the tongue at the rear of the saddle under the fender bracket and lowering the nose of the saddle onto the latch pin. Push down on the nose of the seat until you hear TWO clicks from the latch. Remove the seat by inserting key in the lock and turning clockwise.
When using with the H-D trunk in the front position, be sure to install the trunk first THEN the saddle.
Show your colors! We usually have a new tee shirt design available every year. For 2007, we are offering the Corbin tee with the official Hollister Rally logo on the Front and our pinstripe design on the back. Available in a variety of styles for men and women! *Show Me*

Our most popular backrest model is the perfect blend of form and function. The size looks visually appropriate on most every seat yet is large enough to provide good, sculpted support. Works well in either the rider's or passenger's position. The standard Ovalbac is available with a range of finishing plate options to dress up the rear including chrome! *More Info*
The standard Corbin backrest for years! This model is the same size and shape as the Standard Ovalbac above, but without the hole in the middle. Provides plenty of sculpted back support without looking too big on the bike. Works in both the rider or passenger seating area on virtually all Corbin saddle models. This model also has the option of chrome studs if desired. *More Info*
Like the Standard Ovalbac show above, but with a larger contact area for added support. Works great as a passenger backrest in Dual Touring models. Because of the added width, we do not recommend this model in the front position while carrying a passenger... it may interfere with their legs. Sculpted to provide wide ergonomic support. Offers a variety of finishing plate options to customize the rear (sorry, no chrome). *More Info*
This model is specially designed to be used in the large Dual Touring seats (like HD Baggers) or in Master's Type saddles as found on the Goldwings. Sculpted for extended support both vertically and horizontally, but cut away at the bottom to provide clearance for passenger's legs. A variety of finishing plate options are available to customize the rear. *More Info*
If you want the functionality of a backrest, but also want the smallest appearance possible, this is the backrest model for you. This one is most often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models (thus the name). Includes a variety of finishing plate options for the rear. *More Info*
A convenient storage solution that looks great too. Corbin's Glove Box bolts up easily to your #02-S(B) model backrest in place of the rear finishing plate to provide four liters of locking storage. Available in primer or pre-painted. Some color matches are available depending on bike make and model. Comes fully lined too! *More Info*
Corbin makes a variety of trunk pads for your co-pilot's touring pleasure. Each model comes coordinated to your saddle design for a totally integrated look.
