Corbin's slick Beetle Bags are available for your VFR 800 Interceptor! Designed to bolt up easily on your stock chassis, our bags not only provide convenient locking storage, they also enhance the look of your bike. Notice how the lines and details of the stock fairing have been incorporated into the design of the bags... Very cool! As they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words" so we'll let the images above speak for themselves.
Beetle Bags are specially designed for each motorcycle so they fit the profile of the bike perfectly, like pieces of a puzzle. This enables the bags to carry the weight of the contents closer to the centerline of the bike and keep perfect balance on your VFR. Another benefit of our design and mounting system is a smaller overall width for less wind resistance and interference when lane splitting or leaning over in a corner. You won't even notice they're back there when riding. Although we can't possibly test our bags with all available exhaust systems, we know they work perfect with the stock system or the carbon-fiber "Stasher" system available from Two Brothers Racing.
For loading, we've placed the doors on top of the bags and they open forward into the wind. This assures that contents will never spill out of your bags when you open them. The forward hinge motion helps the doors to self-close in the wind if you happen to forget them. Naturally the doors are fully weather stripped to keep the rain out if you should be so unlucky as to get caught in a storm. By the way, if you have an adjustable shock installed on your bike, the bags will still work perfectly on your bike (as shown).
Beetle Bags come complete with all hardware required for immediate installation on your machine. Both bags are fully lined to protect your cargo and the doors feature adjustable locks for security. During installation, you will remove your plastic rear fender and replace it with the slick, low profile one that we provide. As you can see, this turns your license plate sideways and relocates your stock lighting a bit. If you prefer to keep your plate horizontal, we also include a bracket that allows you to do so. Saddlebags and rear fender are constructed of our Fibertech material for durability and a perfect finish.
Combined with our Gunfighter & Lady saddle, the VFR becomes an excellent touring machine! Corbin's bags come to you pre-painted to coordinate with your stock VFR paint. Please note there are variances in the Honda colors that make it impossible to match perfectly. When discussing paint colors with our local Honda dealer, they went so far as to tell us, "VFRs don't even match VFRs". The red paint that we've come up with is a good match to the Honda red, but as we mentioned, it's not perfect.

When loading Beetle Bags, remember to load heavy items at the bottom and as close to the centerline of the bike as possible. Don't throw disc locks and other items of that nature into the bag or it could create a pressure crack in the painted surface on the outside... place them in carefully.
Regarding the license plate: According to federal DOT regulations, the license plate must be mounted parallel to the ground, centered on the motorcyle and lit by a DOT approved light. However, it has become very common for bike builders to mount the plate vertically (Paul Yaffee, Ron Simms, etc). Also, don't forget that it is not legal in most states to use an aftermarket exhaust system either... unless they have gone through the red-tape of getting it DOT approved (this is rare). A bracket is included to mount your plate horizontally if you prefer.

PLEASE NOTE: Corbin products are designed to fit very close to your bike for a clean look. Due to this, other accessories or options can inhibit proper fit. As an example: Tank Consoles (dashes), ignition modules, exhaust systems, sissy bars, etc. If you have accessories installed on your bike, please let us know so we can verify the fit for you.
SADDLE WARRANTY: Basepan, foam and hardware of the Corbin saddle is warranted to the original owner for life. Cover materials and workmanship are warranted for one year. Product will only be authorized to be shipped back, freight pre-paid, for refining of shape or to replace/rectify defective parts. In cases where the rework requires a new cover, a recover charge will be applied. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization number (RMA).
FIBERGLASS WARRANTY: Structural integrity of Corbin fiberglass components are warranted to the original owner for life. Finish and paint are warranted against manufacturing defect for one year. Damage to product and / or painted surfaces from outside forces or misuse is specifically not covered under warranty. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
