Smuggler... an integral part of Corbin's modular seating system. We've created a two piece saddle system that allows you to switch from solo to dual easily as desired. For a clean solo look and the most convenient storage available, our Smuggler trunk is just perfect. Mounts onto your bike in place of a passenger seat, Corbin's Smuggler trunk comes prepainted to coordinate with your stock paint (please specify color) and provides a secure area to stow essentials. Up front, the enhanced ergonomics of our front saddle create a perch that provides long range, sport touring comfort.
Naturally we've built the Smuggler to fit perfectly to the lines of the Street Rod to create an integrated look. Slick lines pick up the curve of the fender and lend a bit more flair. Our patented molding process and exclusive materials create a part with very minimal variation from piece to piece so we can design a precision fit to the bodywork. The Corbin front saddle mounts using included locking bracket system. The Smuggler trunk and/or rear seat mount with just two bolts and included brackets.
Smuggler's capacity of 6 liters helps to keep all your essential gear handy. That's more than enough room for keys, maps, spare gloves, cell phone, PDA, bottled water.... there's even enough room for your digital camera in there. You'll find the Smuggler so convenient that you'll be getting stuff out of it every time you stop your bike. Naturally it comes fully finished and prepainted to coordinate with your stock paint color so the looks are spectacular right out of the box.
Front saddle uses our exclusive high-density Comfort Cell foam that allows us to build a supportive saddle without a bulky shape. Corbin's Wizards are masters at combining form and function into a saddle that makes you as happy to look at as it does to ride on. Our Smuggler trunk works with either the Standard solo (shown) or our Close solo saddle for an easier reach to the bars. Both provide greatly enhanced comfort and support with a slick sporty look.
Notice how the bucket is designed to emulate the shape of your body. This gives excellent support for longer range with a greater contact area to eliminate hot spots. Neutralized seating helps to curb sliding in the saddle which greatly reduces rider fatigue. We include your choice of color options for looks from outrageous to stealthy. The model shown here uses our standard black Mercedes leather for a clean look and a luxurious ride.
Corbin's modular system lets you pick and choose the components you want without having to own multiple complete saddles. In this animation you see our Smuggler trunk being interchanged with a fastback "Gunfighter" style tail, passenger pillion with backrest option and a new Glovebox that attaches to the Corbin Ovalbac backrest. Changing rear components is simple with just two bolts through the included brackets into stock locations on your Street Rod.
Notice how closely the Corbin designers were able to make the Smuggler fit to the smooth shape of the Street Rod rear fender. The graceful, aerodynamic looks have been kept true for the best possible visual appeal. Smuggler is constructed of our durable Fibertech material for a fine finish and long term durability. Smuggler comes fully lined to help protect your cargo and cushion some of the road noise. Naturally, the door opening is fully weather stripped to guard against foul weather as well. Locking door keeps things secure and simple to access.
Note: ue to the shaping of our basepan and working around the components on the fender, Corbin components do not interchange with the stock pieces.

ERGONOMIC SHAPING: A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell... more comfort for a longer ride! Just click the button at left for an animation that shows how it works. |

PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY: Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding technology which is now the process by which all Corbin saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and base material. To see what this is all about, just click the button for More Info |
