A Free Seat?
 This is a Heritage Springer Softail as it was made from 1997 - 1999. Please do NOT confuse this model with the Heritage Softail or the Springer Softail as they are a different deal altogether. If you have a Heritage Softail or a Springer Softail, then you needn't read any further, all of our saddles will fit your bike. However, if you have a bike like the one above, then this page pertains to you. Please read on... In its stock trim, the Heritage Springer came from the factory with fringed leather saddlebags... the one above is shown with Corbin Beetle Bags. We mention this only as a point of visual reference, not because it makes any difference to seat fitment. If your Softail model has the Heritage style rear fender AND a Springer style front end, then this is your bike. Another way to recognize a Heritage Springer is the large front fender (with light) and the fringed stock seat with chrome grab rail. Yup, the bike had a lot of fringe on it. During the 1997-1999 model years, the seat mounting point in the rear fender was one-inch further back on the Heritage Springer than on any of the other Softail models. Due to this, only a few of our saddle designs will fit properly on these models (from the 2000 model year to the present, this is no longer an issue.) Naturally, you could change the rear fender, but I'll warn you that it would be quite a bit of work. The following Corbin saddles are available to fit:
