Exquisitely shaped to follow each and every contour of the bike along the chrome fender strut and up over the graceful curve of the fender. This pefected form and close fit is possible only with Corbin's patented integrated molding technology.
Traditionally if you wanted a solo look on your bike you had to keep a separate passenger pillion seat available for the days when you're taking a copilot. This meant you had to plan ahead for passengers and it sometimes involved installation headaches. That's all changed with the Corbin Rumble Seat... no external brackets, no install hassles, just a flip of the wrist and you're ready to go. This clever design also integrates a passenger backrest for their added comfort.
Convenient and easy to use, this seat design features an all new hinge mechanism that secures the fold down backrest in either position effortlessly. Just fold it up or down and our patented spring indexed hinge holds it in position and you're ready to roll. Naturally, the saddle looks great in either position and is finished in your choice of styles for a totally custom look.
Of course the comfort is pure Corbin with our exclusive Comfort Cell foam material and ergonomically designed seating. Notice how the rider's position is sculpted to fit the shape of the human body? That provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate pressure points that cause hot spots. Inside, our foam material gives a firm, resilient ride that supports you indefinately. Over time, the foam will actually break in and conform to your specific body shape for a personalized fit. Our foam material feels firm when you first ride it, but this firmness is what gives you the ability to ride great distances in comfort.
In the rear, Rumble seat offers generous passenger accomodations with over 70 square inches of body contact area and nearly a foot of vertical back support. This provides excellent medium range comfort while keeping an exquisite look. When folded down, the passenger rest provides a looks similar to our original Gunfighter saddle design. This also gives the front position a bit more lower back support.
On the back of the Rumble Seat, we finish it off with custom designed ABS plates that come pre-painted to match your stock Roadliner's paint scheme. For the two tone bikes, we've painted the plates to coordinate with the main bike color. Notice also how we've incorporated the triple rib into the rear of the Rumble seat to integrate it with the art deco scheme of the bike. For those of you who are looking at custom painting their Roadliner in the future, the plates can easily be removed and sent along with your sheet metal to your painter.
As with most Corbin saddles, this seat uses genuine leather seating panels for a ride that breathes with your body. Luxurious and durable, leather will provide comfort for many years and will break in along with the foam shape for a personalized fit to your posture. Available plain or with our new Sharp Deco stitch that coordinates so nicely with the art deco design of the bike. Be sure to take proper care of your leather saddle with a good conditioner like Corbin's Saddle Cream. This will help it to resist the elements and remail supple.
For those chilly morning rides we offer an option of heated rider seating. We incorporate a heater unit under the leather seating and a switch on the left side of the saddle (so you can turn it on without removing your hand from the throttle). Just flip the switch to the low or high position and the seat will warm up and maintain temperature automatically through an integrated controller. Corbin's heater comes completely pre installed in the saddle and you need only integrate the included pigtail to your fuse box. Note: Passenger seating is not heated on this model.
Why doesn't everybody offer a cool, convertible design like this? Simple: The Rumble Seat is a patented design invented by Mike Corbin over a decade ago! Since then we've perfected the inner workings of the Rumble Seat into the sturdy and durable design you'll find today. Inside the saddle is an entire "sissy bar" assembly that is designed to fold away for that trick Rumble Seat action. To protect it from the elements, the whole internal mechanism is nickel plated. For simple installation, we've designed this model to work with your stock key lock system. Simply slide the saddle into position rear first and lower the nose down to latch. If you go with the heated option, we also include the pigtail to wire the saddle directly into your stock fuse box. Naturally, heater unit and controller will be pre installed in the saddle. Notice how every component is designed to fit perfectly to the bike and also integrate so well visually. The meticulous attention to detail shows through in every aspect of the saddle system.
