Trimtab® Adjustable Fairing for 2004 - 2008 Triumph Rocket III
The new wind management system from Corbin's design team is another masterpiece! Specially engineered to provide adjustable wind protection for different riding uses and rider stature. Simple to adjust and easy to install, it blends well with the style of your Rocket to add to the custom appeal. Gracefully contours the front end following the lines of the bike while creating wind protection for you at freeway speed. We even provide it prepainted to coordinate with your stock color!
The triple rib along the trailing edge is designed to create turbulence in the laminar airflow which actually reduces wind noise and buffeting as the wind reaches you. This makes the bike much more comfortable to ride at higher speeds and for longer distances. Because of the unique design of the Corbin fairing, we were able to bring the fairing much closer to you than other models on the market, which keeps you in the slipstream and provides better protection. Along the top edge, we've mounted a small bump pad to protect you in the case of accidental contact with the fairing. Naturally, we expect to coordinate this bump pad in the material of your choice to coordinate with your Corbin saddle design. The model shown here uses our standard black leather.
See how the placement of the fairing can adjust for rider stature? Ideally you will want to dial in the fairing height to the position that provides the best protection from wind and noise while still allowing you to easily look over the top of the fairing. At higher speeds, you will likely want to lower the fairing and get yourself behind it to keep a smaller profile through the air. Conversly moving the fairing up during poor weather will give you better protection from the elements.
Placement of the Trimtab adjusting knob is front and center making it easy to reach and adjust with either hand. You can even adjust the fairing height while riding if you choose. Notice also how the included chrome & black brackets are designed to fit in with the look of your front end for total integration. Triple plate chrome brackets and adjusting arms look great and are well suited to withstand the elements. Please note that although we show the fairing moving by itself in some of the animations on this page, it is NOT motorized and is adjusted by turning the Trimtab knob manually.
Installation is fairly simple and can be accomplished by the average weekend mechanic. We include a bracket that replaces the top piece of your handlebar clamp and relocates the gauges slightly. This bracket is then covered with the painted piece you see between the two headlights in this image (the one with three ribs on it). The fairing then bolts to the newly installed bracket and you're ready to go test it out. Please note: We could not relocate the ignition switch because it is also your steering lock. Because of this, it can be difficult to reach the key when the fairing is in a low position or if you are wearing thick winter gloves. Simply raise the fairing to a higher level and reach in.
Both the fairing and lower cover arrive prepainted to coordinate with your factory paint job. When ordering your Trimtab adjustable fairing, don't forget to choose the appropriate paint color. We do not offer a Trimtab fairing in primer only, so if you're planning on a custom paint job, simply order it in black. This way all of the painter prep work is done and it's ready to go. Also, be sure to let us know what leather material you would like to use for the bump pad at the top of the fairing.

Fibertech Construction
Manufactured of our exclusive Fibertech™ material for durability and a clean finish. Specially formulated for Corbin, Fibertech™ gives us very tight tolerances with minimal shrinkage so each part comes out true to the original design.
Finish
We use a quality gel-coat for a nice finish that doesn't show material weave. Trimtab fairing comes prepainted to coordinate with your factory paint job and clear coated for durability.
Adjustable Travel
Trimtab fairing has approximately five inches of travel when measured at the trailing edge. Adjust the slipstream to your stature and current riding conditions with a simple twist of the wrist.
Leather Bump Pad
To guard you in the case of accidental contact with the fairing, we provide a padded bump pad on the top edge. Choose from our wide range of material options for a custom look or coordinate it to your Corbin seat.
Corbin's Trimtab fairing does not install properly on the Special Edition Rocket III. All other Rocket models work well. Our Fleetliner fairing works great on ALL models of the Rocket III.
The Corbin Trimtab adjustable fairing has approximately 5" of travel at the trailing edge through the total adjustment.
Installation: Corbin's fairing comes to you ready to install with all components included except for a threadlock material (like Loctite). Complete instructions included with fairing.
Corbin's Trimtab fairing is developed and tested to work with the stock handlebars. Use of other bars may effect performance, especially with the use of wider bars. Due to the different handle bar mount on the (Special Edition) the Trimtab does not fit, we recomend the Fleetliner Fairing.
We use a High-Temp Stainless lubricant on the adjuster when it is assembled. With normal use, it should not need to be relubricated.
Access to the ignition switch is limited as you can see. You will usually need to have the fairing in a mid - high setting in order to reach the ignition switch.

PLEASE NOTE: Corbin products are designed to fit very close to your bike for a clean look. Due to this, other accessories or options can inhibit proper fit. As an example: Tank Consoles (dashes), ignition modules, exhaust systems, sissy bars, etc. If you have accessories installed on your bike, please let us know so we can verify the fit for you.
SADDLE WARRANTY: Basepan, foam and hardware of the Corbin saddle is warranted to the original owner for life. Cover materials and workmanship are warranted for one year. Product will only be authorized to be shipped back, freight pre-paid, for refining of shape or to replace/rectify defective parts. In cases where the rework requires a new cover, a recover charge will be applied. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization number (RMA).
FIBERGLASS WARRANTY: Structural integrity of Corbin fiberglass components are warranted to the original owner for life. Finish and paint are warranted against manufacturing defect for one year. Damage to product and / or painted surfaces from outside forces or misuse is specifically not covered under warranty. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
