Corbin Times Home Edition Archive

June 24, 2006

It's officially summer just in case someone forgot to tell you. If you haven't been spending some quality time on two-wheels, then you're letting it waste away. If you have to, wait until it's dark to read this newsletter and go get on your bike! Really, it's ok... I'll wait.

* HOLLISTER RALLY (NOT)
As far as the city is concerned, there is no Hollister rally this year. Seems all you ruffians have terrorized the hapless denizens of San Benito County for the last time. Yeah, right!

You know it and I know it... people are coming to Hollister this Fourth of July weekend. It may not be as brobdingnagian as prior years, but we're rolling out the asphalt carpet at the Wizard's Workshop. Offering up live music, food at Wizard's Cafe, book signings by the infamous Sonny Barger and stunt riding shows by Jason Pullen.

Naturally we'll be offering a rally discount and free installation through the duration of the "event". Also a good time to check out the Wizard's Workshop on a self guided tour (that's really just a nice way of saying "Go ahead and look around.")

"What days?" you ask. We don't really know to be honest. Pretty safe bet there'll be people around on Saturday and Sunday, but for the rest of the long weekend we're going to play it by ear. Heck, we want to go have fun too ya know!

* OUR WINNER SURFACES
Against the odds, our May winner managed to claim the bucks! Seems yer pal Chuck here is a bit of a dullard and can't read (now you know why this newsletter has so many typos). Anyway, our May winner's name was BRACE LAKE (not Bruce). You may recall we also didn't have a last name so that made it a bit quirky too.

Well, the man came through and contacted me with plenty of time to spare and got a $300 Corbin Gift certificate for his effort. YOU are automatically entered to win the June prize so keep your eyes on this spot next week.

Congrats Brace and thanks for reading!

* FATHER'S DAY
Hopefully you all had a great day last weekend regardless of which side of father status you currently occupy (father, fathered or both). Mine, since you ask, was great. Spent most of the day chilling with the yard apes and performing routine maintenance on the Chuck-family dirt bike fleet (very "Zen" for a guy with a desk job). Yes, life is good and we at Corbin's all hope this missive finds you well. Happy Father's Day!

Note: Shocking as it may be, Chuck did manage to procreate. Isn't there some license you have to get or something?

* RALLY SCHEDULE
Corbin truck is currently on location at:
Honda Hoot
Knoxville, TN
June 21 - 24, 2006

Then we're coming back to our home turf for:

Have a great week boys and girls and be careful around that UNSUB link below. Some of us seem to have a bit of a problem NOT clicking on it... right Dr. Mallory?!

I'm outta here
Chuck
