* * * APRIL WINNER * * *
Here it is... the moment you've all been (kind of) waiting for... Our monthly random winner is:

Toni Caserta

If your name appears above (and ONLY if your name appears above) send a confirmation email that includes your snail mail address to: chuck@corbin.com. This month the graft is once again an un-imaginative $300 Corbin gift certificate. I just haven't thought up anything better yet so there ya go. OK Toni, you've got two weeks to drop me a line!

* * * CORBIN OPEN HOUSE * * *
Also known as The First Annual Rider Appreciation Day at Mike Corbin's Workshop of Wizards in Hollister, Califorina (FARADAMCWOWIHC for short).

The permit's in place (not that there was ever any doubt) and we're rolling full stead ahead. In fact, it's growing so fast we got nervous about our ability to suppy you voracious carnivores with enough beef and have called in outside reinforcements. Enter local legends of the pit Mansmith's Bar-B-Que! I will pause for a moment while you make the appropriate "oooo" and "aaaahhh" noises.

We're actually really happy to present this little bit of Hometown Hollister and we know you'll love it. While you're here we're also going to be giving out free Corbin pins for your jacket and will have a host of door prizes and raffles you can take part in.

All this FREE goodness comes with but one small caveat... You need to REGISTER. Do it now!

* * * ZERO MOTORCYCLES * * *
Congrats to our buddies over at Zero Motorcycles for winning the AMA's first ever zero carbon race which was held last month at Infineon Raceway. Dubbed the Time Trial Xtreme Grand Prix, the winning bike was piloted by our old pal Shawn Higbee who used to pilot the Corbin/Motorcycle Online race effort back in the day. I still have the tee shirt as a matter of fact!

You could say that Shawn walked away with this one, but it's probably be more accurate to say HE SPANKED 'EM with a finsh fourteen seconds ahead of the pack. Good job Shawn and good job Zero!

if you're interested in learning a bit more about these unique, all electric bikes (made in the USA), you can find the Zero website at zeromotorcycles.com

By way of shameless plug, I should point out the Zero S and Zero DS proudly come from the manufacturer sporting a Corbin saddle!

Last we heard from Alisa we were trying to get a seat to her c/o general delivery in Ecuador after the seat sent to her in Panama went mysteriously missing. Things didn't work out so well, not the least of which being an estimated delivery charge of $768. So she had to tough it out and complete her ride through Central and South America with a stock seat on her Suzuki DR 650.

Now back in the good ole US of A, we were happy to send Alisa a fine new tush cushion for her next adventure which involves a trip to Alaska and being a presenter at the International Women Rider's Conference in Ontario, Canada.

"Why does she do it?" Simple... Because she can, duh! Additionally her adventures are in support of finding a cure for breast cancer.

You can follow the action on her blog right here: www.motoadventuregal.com

"Yanking the Fun Cord" is a brief review of the previously mentioned Zero motorcycles. (Just to be clear, I'm talking about their Street motorcycles, not their RACE bike.)

You can Read the article on RumBum.com which is a really fun site and also happens to host a regular column by Moto-Adventure-Gal along with a variety of other tidbits for outdoor lovin' folks like us. Safe for all family members (unless there's something I haven't seen yet!)

* * * HOKA HEY * * *
Slated for television coverage later this year: The Hoka Hey Challenge leaves the Florida Keys this month in a winner take all, endurance challenge that ends in Homer, AK.

Hailed by some as the "Iditarod of Harley-Davidsons", the challenge is limited to the first 1,000 entrants and their air cooled Harley-Davidson motorcycles... Just them and their bikes with no outside assistance allowed. What's at stake? How about $500,000 to the winner!

More info about the Hoka Hey Challenge can be found HERE and we'll post results as we find out.

Well folks we've got a party to prep for so we'll talk to you later.
Be well!
Chuck

I wish we could dedicate Memorial Day, not to the memory of those who have died at war, but to the idea of saving the lives of the young people who are going to die in the future if we don't find some new way - some new religion maybe - that takes war out of our lives.
-Andy Rooney
