SUNSHINE!
Out Hollister way, we've finally seen a bit of the sun. Sure, it
was only for a couple of days but we'll happily take what we can
get. (This also explains why you didn't see a newsletter from us
last week... zoom zoom!) Hopefully Spring is springing in your
neck of the woods too.
Oh yeah... Happy Belated Easter!

* THE WINNER!
Congrats to Colin Mac Donald for baggin' the dough in our monthly
drawing. Just for having the tenacity to read through my drivel
on a weekly (almost) basis, he scored a $250 Corbin Gift
Certificate. That'll help ease the burden on the pocketbook (and
his posterior) for his trip to Americade this year.
Another drawing is just around the corner, so look for your name
in this spot!
* CHUCK IS STOKED
Correction: Chuck is damn stoked! As I mentioned above, we're
building up our photo studio. We're not talking about adding a
couple of lights and a new roll of seamless paper either. No boys
and girls, we're talking a FULL Cyclorama (schhhhwwwwingggg!) and
get this... It's got an eight foot turntable in the middle of it
(look closely at the pic and you can barely see it). On the left
side is a giant Erector set for hanging reflectors, lights or
whatever. All wrapped up in a tidy 18' square that dwarfs our
current softbox (top of picture).
OK, so maybe YOU don't care but this is like catnip for photo
geeks like me!
HOLLISTER UPDATE
The latest news on the 2006 Hollister rally is that there is no
news. The city still says there's no rally scheduled for this
year, but everyone we talk to seems to be coming anyway. Naturally
this leads to rumors of how all you rowdy bikers are gonna come
beat us up this July. Here's one of my favorite quotes from
local media:
San Benito County Sheriff said his department would follow
Sure, I took it out of context but you have to admit it sounds
funny.
* RALLY SCHEDULE
OK gang, we're offically on the way to:
Laughlin River Run
Laughlin, NV
April 26 - 30, 2006
Next stop:
Myrtle Beach Bike Week
Myrtle Beach, SC
May 12 - 21, 2006
* HELP WANTED
OK, you passed up your opportunity when I posted in this newsletter
that we were looking for a full time photog. Now you've missed
your shot at a really cool studio playground (something you will
lament for some time I'm sure). So maybe now you'll take me a bit
more seriously when I say that we're always looking for good folks
that have a passion for bikes. Right now we could use help in IT
and R&D... or maybe you're just the person we didn't even know we
needed!
If you think you may want to work at Corbin's, just drop us your
resume' in the body of an e-mail (no attachments please!) Sent it
to corbin01@corbin.com or check out our career opps at:
http://www.corbin.com/jobs/
Speaking of work, I've got a bit piling up while I blather on and
on so I better wrap this up. Have a great week and keep the
Corbin side up.
Happy Trails,
Chuck![]()
