* A NEW WINNER
Watch this spot in next week's newsletter to see if your name
appears. If so, you win a free Corbin seat! That's right, your choice done up in your style... just for reading. Remember though you've got to read if you want to win. We don't send a special
notification mail, just your name in this newsletter. Good luck!
* OLD NUMBER 7
Talk about brand recognition... the sweet nectar created by Mr.
Jack Daniel has been an American icon since the early 1900's. Mike,
who has long been a fan of the mark (and the product), also happens to be pals with some folks in the employ of the nation's oldest registered distillery. As such, you'll be seeing a limited
edition Jack Daniel's Mercury Couch coming from Corbin in the near future. In the attached photo, you'll also notice a cool JD
themed chopper created by BMC.
Watch Corbin's Ride-On and you'll be seeing more about these items. Now in our sixth season, you can check out Corbin's Ride-On
every Two-Wheel Tuesday night on the Speed Channel.
* SCRAMBLING THE GOLDEN EGG
I would be grossly exaggerating if I said that everyone loved the
Hollister rally (obviously). Even so, we're a bit surprised by
how quickly the city of Hollister was willing to throw it all away.
The city council has rejected virtually all submissions to save the rally and promoters have switched focus to the nearby town of
San Juan Bautista.
As expected, the idea of becoming the new biker Mecca was summarily shot down by citizens and council members alike Tuesday
night. Again we wonder... WHEN all the bikes roll into town this Fourth of July weekend, what's everyone going to do?
We'll keep you posted.
* ACCORDING TO MY CALENDAR...
Does it strike anyone else funny that "Employee Day" is March 4?
If you're not sitting in front of a calendar at the moment, let
me help you out here... That's a Saturday!!
Gee, so we can all celebrate by taking the day off? Oh wait...
I already get Saturday off (in theory). Smacks of a conspiracy in my humble opinion.
Fortunately for me, every day is like a holiday around here 'cause
I'm lucky enough to enjoy my job so much. Oh, give me a break... my boss reads this!
* SUBMISSIONS
There's still time to submit your digital photos for the dubious
honor and recognition associated with inclusion on the new Corbin
website. Bring it on! Just attach your digital pic to an e-mail and send it to me at: chuck@corbin.com Thanks to all of you who
have already sent me pics!
* BIKE WEEK BEGINS
Although the rally doesn't technically start 'till the third, our
boyz in Daytona report that traffic is already ramping up. We're
sending out reinforcements Wednesday so we'll be at full staff by
the end of the week. Looks like it's going to be a good one!
Bike Week
Daytona Beach, FL
March 3 - 12, 2006
After Bike Week, the Corbin showteam will be back on the left coast and set up for:
Laughlin River Run
Laughlin, NV
April 26 - 30, 2006
* AU REVOIR
Have a great week gang and keep the Corbin side up. Maybe by the
end of the week we'll be back on schedule and will have the weekly
newsletter out to you Friday (so I can enjoy Employee's Day!)
Happy Trails,
Chuck
