Corbin’s Classic Solo Saddle & Passenger Pillions give your VTX 1300 Retro a nostalgic look and excellent comfort. Provides the use of our removable backrest for 16 inches of vertical back support in the rider's position. Our sculpted seating position gives maximized body contact and provides true touring comfort with a bucket that gives plenty of body support. Our neutralized seat platform offers an easier reach to the ground and a more ergonomic position on the bike.
For total touring support, we offer several styles of removable backrest that work in the Classic Solo. The Ovalbac® model backrest shown here is our model #02-S and provides the best blend of good looks and sculpted support. Ovalbac® models provide good support without trapping heat against your body... they also make a great hand hold while moving your bike around the garage. Simple to install, just slide the backrest shaft into the saddle and secure with the included set screw. Backrest angle is adjustable to provide a tailored fit to your posture and adjustment is done without removing the backrest from the seat.
Corbin's 50's style rear seat easily bolts up along with the Corbin solo and keeps a sleek, vintage look with capabilities for passengers. We build this model low to look sly, but use our high density Comfort Cell® foam for a firm supportive ride. We also have a Touring Pillion seat available that provides longer range comfort for your copilot (see next image). Our Touring pillion is ergonomically engineered for better weight dispersion and support. Naturally both models are built to match your Classic Solo for a totally integrated look.
Both saddles and backrest are richly tailored with genuine leather seating panels and built with Corbin's Comfort Cell® foam. Our exclusive foam material is almost twice as firm as the stock foam to give you support that lasts and doesn't compress down over time. This "Closed Cell" foam will feel firm at first, but over the miles you will notice it doesn't compress down like the stock foam and continues to provide resilience for the long haul. Additionally, it will break in over time to provide a personalized fit to your posture.
Choose from a wide range of leather and decorating options (all included) for your new seat. Leather will provide a nice perch that breathes with your body and will break in along with the foam shape for a personalized fit. For an added bit of a nostalgic touch, specify Chrome Studs on your order like the model shown here (also at no additional charge). Corbin's backrest system works with or without a pillion saddle in place. Corbin pillion seats work with your VTX sissy bar if equipped.
If you prefer a totally solo look, you can run the Corbin Classic Solo seat without a passenger pillion. This looks very nice on the VTX models showing off that flashy rear fender. Corbin's backrest system is supported internally, so there are no unsightly brackets to clutter up the clean look of your bike. To keep things looking clean, chrome button head screws (not included) into the holes in your fender is a simple solution. Since the saddles install easily, you can simply convert your bike from this solo look to dual with just a few screws and a few minutes of your time.
If you opt for one of the Ovalbac® series backrests as shown here (model #02-S), you can further customize the look of you bike with rear finishing plate options. Made of ABS, our standard model has a leather look to it, but you can also choose a Carbon-Fiber look, Aluminum look or primer if you want to custom paint one. For just a little extra, we can provide a finishing plate prepainted to coordinate with your stock Honda paint job or a new Chromed steel model as shown. Please note, chrome back plates are only available for the model #02-S.
Simple to install, either passenger pillion mounts directly to the Corbin Classic Solo seat with all hardware included. The solo uses two brackets transferred from your stock seat to mount directly to the frame locations originally used. You will also reuse the stock bolts for this. To clean things up a bit, we offer a chromed billet thumbscrew in the proper thread (6mm) to fit your rear fender as shown. This looks very clean and can be installed or removed without tools. These thumbscrews can be used in a variety of applications wherever you want a dressier finish.
Be sure to care for your leather saddle with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream. With proper care, your seat will age gracefully developing a unique character and will be your riding buddy for years. Leather conditioner will help it to remain water resistant and supple over time. Beware not to use any cleaners or conditioners that are petroleum based or contain kerosene as this may damage the leather cover over time!

Installation: Classic solo bolts up to your bike by transferring two brackets from your stock seat. Corbin pillion pads come completely ready to install and bolt to the Corbin Classic Solo. Rear of the pillion is held down to your fender in the standard location using the stock bolt.
Works with the Honda Chrome Solo Rider Rear Carrier (luggage rack that goes over rear fender) Honda's part number is 08L42-MEA-100A. There is about a 2 inch gap from the rear of our seat and the front of the luggage rack, but it still looks great and fits well.
Classic Solo works with the Honda Delux passenger backrest.
Our pillions do not work with the stock Honda front seat.

If you want the functionality of a backrest, but also want the smallest appearance possible, this is the backrest model for you. This one is most often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models (thus the name). Includes a variety of finishing plate options for the rear. *More Info*
A convenient storage solution that looks great too. Corbin's Glove Box bolts up easily to your #02-S(B) model backrest in place of the rear finishing plate to provide four liters of locking storage. PLEASE NOTE: Corbin products are designed to fit very close to your bike for a clean look. Due to this, other accessories or options can inhibit proper fit. As an example: Tank Consoles (dashes), ignition modules, exhaust systems, sissy bars, etc. If you have accessories installed on your bike, please let us know so we can verify the fit for you.
SADDLE WARRANTY: Basepan, foam and hardware of the Corbin saddle is warranted to the original owner for life. Cover materials and workmanship are warranted for one year. Product will only be authorized to be shipped back, freight pre-paid, for refining of shape or to replace/rectify defective parts. In cases where the rework requires a new cover, a recover charge will be applied. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization number (RMA).
FIBERGLASS WARRANTY: Structural integrity of Corbin fiberglass components are warranted to the original owner for life. Finish and paint are warranted against manufacturing defect for one year. Damage to product and / or painted surfaces from outside forces or misuse is specifically not covered under warranty. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
