The most convenient and versatile seat design available! In the lowered position, Corbin's patented Rumble Seat provides a very cool, solo look... but a flip of the wrist reveals a comfortable passenger platform complete with backrest. Corbin's new spring indexed hinge design keeps the backrest firmly in the up or down position as needed without tools or tension knobs. This new mechanism is like having a complete sissy bar assembly contained inside the saddle where it doesn't clutter up the look of your bike... Yeah, it's "like" a sissy bar but much, much cooler.
For solo cruising, the passenger rest provides a slick look similar to our original Gunfighter saddle design. When you wish to carry passengers, just fold up the rear pad to reveal a generous passenger seating area complete with backrest. Of course the passenger seat and backrest pad are constructed with our exclusive Comfort CellŪ foam to give excellent support and riding range. The rear of the saddle is finished off with gloss black ABS panels that can easily be removed and repainted to match your custom or stock colors.
Naturally, the Rumble Seat is designed for excellent rider comfort up front and is also built up of our exclusive Comfort CellŪ foam. Our foam material feels firm when you first ride it, but this firmness is what gives you the ability to ride great distances in comfort... long lasting support! The front seating area is ergonomically contoured to provide a larger area of body contact and excellent weight distribution. The fold down passenger rest adds extra seat height to give you additional back support and longer riding range. Passenger seating is generous and perfect for short to mid-range rides with the backrest in the flipped up position.
Again, notice how the saddle completely contains the entire bracket mechanism for a very clean look along that cool fender. Carefully designed to fit perfectly to the tank, chassis and fender. This kind of fit is available only in genuine Corbin saddles. For simple installation, we've designed this model to work with our new key lock system. Simply install the included stainless steel latch pin assembly into the seat bolt location on your fender. The seat will now install with a tongue in the front and a key latch in the rear for simple on and off. If you go with the heated option (see below), we also include the pigtail to wire the saddle directly into your stock fuse box. Naturally, heater unit and controller will be preinstalled in the saddle.
Options? We've got options! If you'd like your Rumble seat to look a little flashier, how 'bout chrome finishing plates for the rear. Or for those chilly morning rides we offer an option of heated rider seating. We incorporate a heater unit under the leather seating and a switch on the left side of the saddle (so you can turn it on without removing your hand from the throttle). Just flip the switch to the low or high position and the seat will warm up and maintain temperature automatically through an integrated controller. A true bit of luxury! Corbin's heater comes completely preinstalled in the saddle and you need only integrate the included pigtail to your fuse box. Please note, on this seat model only the front position is heated.
Corbin is the only saddle maker that takes such care to be sure the saddle looks as good as it works... form AND function! Our ergonomic shaping naturally gives the saddle an organic, flowing shape on the motorcycle. From there, the Corbin wizards mold the seat to emulate the existing lines of the bike. The end result is you end up with a seat that looks like it belongs there!
Rumble Seat features genuine leather seating for a perch that breathes with your body and breaks in with the foam shape. Saddle comes standard with our "sharp deco" stitch pattern as shown. Choose from a variety of leather styles to customize the look of the saddle. In the side panels and tail, we use a coordinating vinyl to keep your foam shape tight and the saddle looking sharp longer. Leather makes an excellent cover for a motorcycle seat because it is extremely durable and luxurious to ride on. As your saddle ages, the leather will take on its own unique character just like your leather jacket does. Just be sure to care for your new saddle properly with a quality leather conditioner like our Saddle Cream.
Along the right side of the saddle you'll find the key lock mechanism for saddle installation. Once you've installed our bracket (and wiring for heated models), a simple twist of the key is all that's required for seat removal & installation. This is also a good view of how the Corbin Fibertech basepan follows every arc and contour of the motorcycle and fits perfect. Corbin's rigid basepan provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed foam shape and is chemically bonded to the foam to assure the shape remains intact indefinitely. No chintzy glue job here!
