Beetle Bags for Honda VTX 1800 / 1800 T / 1300 Retro

Bold styling that compliments the unique line of the VTX-Retro... That's Corbin Beetle Bags. Specially sculpted to fit close to the bike for improved weight handling and to be aerodynamically silent. The flowing shape provides a bit of vintage Hot Rod styling to the bike and integrates the rear end into the "tail dragger" fender. Both bags are designed for top loading so your contents won't drop out onto the road when opened. If you've ever had your new cell phone or laptop drop out onto the concrete, you'll understand how important this is. The doors even hinge forward so they will self close in the wind if forgotten. Naturally they both lock too for secure storage. These bags were designed by the same folks that ran Hayabusa saddlebags over 180mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats... They work.
Beetle Bags come standard with all mounting hardware, turn signals, door locks and are fully lined to protect your cargo. Saddlebag set can be installed by an average home mechanic... really! Naturally we supply the set prepainted to coordinate with your factory paint job. Please note that due to the cost of the material, there is an upcharge to color match to Honda's "Illusion" paint colors.
Turn signal buckets are built into the saddlebag design and use the wiring from your existing turn signals (which are removed during saddlebag installation). Due to the shape of the turn signal bucket on the inside of the bag, there is an area that has limited access. Check out the grey shaded area in This Image for more info. This area is great for flexible items like gloves, tee shirts and such. Also, remember to be careful with heavy items like disc locks when loading painted bags. Dropping them into the bag could crack the paint on the outside.

Due to the way Corbin Beetle Bags are designed to fit close to the profile of your bike, they will not work with the Honda Sissy bar system or any other accessory that uses brackets along the fender struts on your VTX.
Because of the cost of the material, there is an upcharge when color matching bags to Honda's "Illusion" paint colors.
On VTX 1300 models: In order to keep the aerodynamics of the bike, Corbin's Beetle Bags are designed to contour around and cover the stock helmet hook on the left side of the bike.
Some passengers may prefer to have the footpegs moved forward further when using our Beetle Bags. If you find this to be true with your copilot, you can use a set of passenger pegs available from Kuryakyn. We've been told that part number 8016 works great.
Take good care of your new seat and the seat will take good care of you. Designed to help your leather saddle remain weather resistant and keeps the hide supple. This will allow the leather to break in and age gracefully. Great for boots, gloves & jackets too. Simple rub-in, buff out application. *More Info*

PLEASE NOTE: Corbin products are designed to fit very close to your bike for a clean look. Due to this, other accessories or options can inhibit proper fit. As an example: Tank Consoles (dashes), ignition modules, exhaust systems, sissy bars, etc. If you have accessories installed on your bike, please let us know so we can verify the fit for you.
SADDLE WARRANTY: Basepan, foam and hardware of the Corbin saddle is warranted to the original owner for life. Cover materials and workmanship are warranted for one year. Product will only be authorized to be shipped back, freight pre-paid, for refining of shape or to replace/rectify defective parts. In cases where the rework requires a new cover, a recover charge will be applied. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization number (RMA).
FIBERGLASS WARRANTY: Structural integrity of Corbin fiberglass components are warranted to the original owner for life. Finish and paint are warranted against manufacturing defect for one year. Damage to product and / or painted surfaces from outside forces or misuse is specifically not covered under warranty. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
