Contrary to what some of you kids may believe, the Chopper was NOT a development of the 21st century pioneered by the likes of OCC or Jesse James. No disrespect intended, these folks have made huge contributions to the motorcycle industry and we have nothing but love for 'em! We're just trying to make the point that Honda has done a fabulous job of capturing the classic American Chopper from years past in a modern production bike. The only thing lacking in this unique machine is the traditional King & Queen saddle that was all the rage in the `70s. We know this because we were busily making these seats for choppers back then... yeah, we're old!
Corbin patent for self supporting passenger backrest
As a matter of fact, check this out from the Corbin archives; This is a copy of Mike's original patent for the internally self-supported King & Queen seat design. If you care to click on the image you'll see that it was granted November 14, 1978 (or you could just take my word for it). I'd also like to point out that this one was actually filed a year later than two other patents that were awarded to Corbin for this type of saddle design! See, we ARE old!
So what's the point in all of this? Quite frankly, nothing. We're just really excited to get back in touch with our roots and to offer this taste of nostalgia to Fury riders. Naturally, we've updated the manufacturing process and materials to reflect the comfort value you've come to expect from Corbin. Both front and rear seating positions have been ergonomically designed to provide proper weight distribution and the whole saddle is built up with our Comfort Cell foam for firm support that lasts. Naturally we've kept the nose as narrow as possible to provide for good ground reach too.
Notice how both seating positions offer excellent vertical support for long range riding. The rear section is completely self supporting with hardware built into the saddle to keep installation clean and eliminate the need for a sissy bar. That means no external brackets to clutter up your bike and no drilling holes in your fender as required by the Honda sissy bar so you can go solo or dual at a moment's notice. Installation is very simple and just takes a single bolt into your fender at the rear which is then concealed by our slick ABS finishing plate for a very clean look. Finishing plate features a leather like texture and is molded with a coordinated diamond pattern.
Corbin's sculpted seating design provides a greater area of body contact for excellent weight dispersion. This allows the seat to fit your body and offer longer lasting support. Our exclusive Comfort Cell® foam material gives you a firm ride that supports your body weight indefinitely. You'll notice our saddle will feel firm to begin with, but it doesn't lose resilience like your stock seat does. Instead, Corbin's saddle will actually break in to take on your shape for a more personalized fit.
Built on a Fibertech basepan, Corbin's King & Queen saddle provides a perfect, flowing fit around the tank, chassis and fender, but rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint job. Sculpted to allow ground reach when you're at a stop light, yet support your legs while in flight. This shaping flows into a high-back rear section that gives your passenger a full 12 inches of vertical support and longer riding range.
Comes standard with genuine leather seating in natural grain texture with coordinating vinyl side panels and authentic styled diamond stitch pattern. If you'd like something a bit more custom, you can order the saddle with Grey faux-snakeskin leather seating at no additional charge. Additional color and material options are available by special order if desired. Leather seating works great on motorcycles because it breathes with your body and will conform with the foam shape during break in. Over time your saddle will age and develop a unique character just like your leather jacket. If you care for it properly with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream, your leather saddle will be your riding buddy for many years.
Corbin's King & Queen saddle is the perfect setup if you want your Fury to keep that classic `70s Chopper look while providing comfort for two riders. Wondering just how far the Corbin guys went to keep this saddle as "Authentic" as possible? Check out the diamond pleat in the patent drawing... Does it look familiar? It should since it's been reproduced on the backing plate and in the stitch pattern on this seat. Groovy!

COMFORT CELL® FOAM: The heart of the Corbin saddle! Our exclusive, purpose built foam material, called Comfort Cell, was created to provide a firm, resilient ride that doesn't break down. This means it will support you for long days on the road. Over time, Comfort Cell will break in to provide a personalized fit to your posture and even greater comfort! ERGONOMIC SHAPING: A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell... more comfort for a longer ride! Just click the button at left for an animation that shows how it works.
PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY: Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding technology which is now the process by which all Corbin saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and base material. To see what this is all about, just click the button for More Info
FIBERTECH™ BASEPAN: A purpose built, hybrid material that provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the Corbin saddle. Provides a precision fit to every arc and contour of the machine and rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint. Click on the button at left to learn more...
GENUINE LEATHER: We use leather in all panels of the seat that contact your body. This provides a luxurious ride that breathes with your body.
