Trimtab Adjustable Fairing for Harley-Davidson Streetrod
The new wind management system from Corbin's design team is another masterpiece! Specially engineered to provide adjustable wind protection for different riding uses and rider stature. Simple to adjust and easy to install, it blends well with the style of your Street rod to add to its custom appeal. Gracefully contours the front end following the lines of the bike while creating wind protection for you at freeway speed. We even provide it prepainted to coordinate with your bike in either a solid color or two-tone as shown here.
The triple rib along the trailing edge is designed to create turbulence in the laminar airflow which actually reduces wind noise and buffeting as the wind reaches you. This makes the bike much more comfortable to ride at higher speeds and for longer distances. Because of the unique design of the Corbin fairing, we were able to bring the fairing much closer to you than other models on the market, which keeps you in the slipstream and provides better protection. Along the top edge, we've mounted a small bump pad to protect you in the case of accidental contact with the fairing. Naturally, we expect to coordinate this bump pad in the material of your choice to coordinate with your Corbin saddle design. The model shown here used Grey Faux Snakeskin.
In this view, you can see how the placement of the fairing can adjust for rider stature. Ideally you will want to dial in the fairing height to the position that provides the best protection from wind and noise while still allowing you to easily look over the top of the fairing. At higher speeds, you will likely want to lower the fairing and get yourself behind it to keep a smaller profile through the air. Conversely moving the fairing up during poor weather will give you better protection from the elements. Notice also how the area of highest wind pressure is located behind the steering stem... this creates a rudder effect and actually helps to stabilize the front end at speed.
Placement of the Trimtab adjusting knob is front and center making it easy to reach and adjust with either hand. You can even adjust the fairing height while riding if you choose. Notice also how the included chrome & black brackets are designed to fit in with the look of your front end for total integration. Triple plate chrome brackets and adjusting arms look great and are well suited to withstand the elements. Please note that although we show the fairing moving by itself in some of the animations on this page, it is NOT motorized and is adjusted by turning the Trimtab knob manually.
Trimtab fairing comes prepainted... We do not offer a Trimtab fairing in primer only, so if you're planning on a custom paint job, simply order it in black. This way all of the painter prep work is done and it's ready to go which will actually save you quite a bit of dough. Of course you have a wide choice of leather styles and colors to choose from for the bump pad so please be sure to specify that on the order form too. It's dead sexy too!

Adjustable
Trimtab fairing adjusts approximately 5" when measured at the trailing edge. This allows you to set the fairing at the right spot to give you the best wind protection and efficiency possible.
Leather Bump Pad
Bump pad on the fairing can be ordered in any of our materials to coordinate it with your Corbin seat or other accessories. Genuine leather!
Fibertech Construction
Corbin's Fibertech material provides durability and the ability to form complex aerodynamic shapes. Naturally a gel-coat layer provides a perfect finish.
Resin Transfer Molding
A new manufacturing process implemented in the Wizard's Workshop allows us to mold the Trimtab fairing for a perfect surface on BOTH sides!
Finish
Trimtab fairing comes to you prepainted and ready for immediate installation. Mounting brackets are chromed to fit in nicely with your Harley.
Installation: In order to provide better wind protection, we designed the Trimtab fairing wider than the stock handlebars would allow. Due to this, in order to install the Trimtab fairing, you must change the handlebars on your Streetrod to a model with more pull-back. We recommend Flanders bars part #650-08155. These are also available from Drag Specialties, Part #DS-300143.
Changing to the Flanders bars will necessitate a different brake line, we used a universal Goodrich braided line. Also, the Flanders bars are wider than stock by approximately 4" overall, if you wish to keep a stock width, you can cut two inches off each side (we did this on the bike shown). If you run them wider, you may also need a longer clutch line. Throttle cables will work regardless.
All other components, hardware and complete instructions included with the fairing.
We use a High-Temp Stainless lubricant on the adjuster when it is assembled. With normal use, it should not need to be re-lubricated.

PLEASE NOTE: Corbin products are designed to fit very close to your bike for a clean look. Due to this, other accessories or options can inhibit proper fit. As an example: Tank Consoles (dashes), ignition modules, exhaust systems, sissy bars, etc. If you have accessories installed on your bike, please let us know so we can verify the fit for you.
SADDLE WARRANTY: Basepan, foam and hardware of the Corbin saddle is warranted to the original owner for life. Cover materials and workmanship are warranted for one year. Product will only be authorized to be shipped back, freight pre-paid, for refining of shape or to replace/rectify defective parts. In cases where the rework requires a new cover, a recover charge will be applied. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization number (RMA).
FIBERGLASS WARRANTY: Structural integrity of Corbin fiberglass components are warranted to the original owner for life. Finish and paint are warranted against manufacturing defect for one year. Damage to product and / or painted surfaces from outside forces or misuse is specifically not covered under warranty. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
