Classic Solo & Pillions for 2008-2011 H-D Crossbones FLSTSB
Classic solo is designed to provide maximum rider comfort combined with a classy, nostalgic look. Provides the use of our removable rider's backrest for 14 inches of vertical back support. Our sculpted seating position gives maximized body contact and provides true touring comfort. Neutralized seat platform offers an easier reach to the ground and a more ergonomic position on the bike.
Corbin's removable rider backrest is simple to install and adjusts easily to your riding posture. Slide the backrest shaft into the internal hardware of the Classic Solo and lock it in place with a single bolt. You can then set the backrest position to your preferred setting and lock it in place with the easily accessible adjustment screw... no need to remove the saddle to accomplish this. Choose from a variety of backrest styles to suit your taste although we recommend the #02-S Ovalbac for a good combination of looks and support.
For maximized passenger comfort, we offer a touring style pillion seat for your Softail. Wide, sculpted seating position gives excellent body support with a wide contact patch. This will eliminate hot spots and increase your passenger's riding range (that means no more annoying rest breaks while you're out racking up the mileage!) All Corbin pillion pad models will work with or without the rider's backrest in the solo seat and come decorated to coordinate with your solo.
For a more sly and vintage look we offer a 50's style pillion pad. This keeps a low profile and clean look on your bike but still provides for passenger transportation. Built up with our exclusive Comfort CellŪ foam for firm support that lasts despite the slim lines. Corbin pillion pads install easily with our new key lock system and all required brackets are included. Designed to work with your H-D sissy bar if equipped. We even offer a touring style sissy bar pad for a coordinated look and added support.
For ultra-cool solo looks, you can run the Corbin Classic Solo Saddle by itself without a pillion seat. This allows you to show off that slick fender and still provides for use of the Corbin backrest if desired. Another slick option for your saddle setup is the variety of finishing plates offered for the rear of the Ovalbac series backrests. Along with our standard leather look ABS model, we offer a carbon-fiber look, brushed aluminum look, paintable or for a little extra you can get one prepainted gloss black or our new chromed steel model shown here! An excellent touch!
Choose from a range of leather styles and colors for a custom touch on your new seat. Leather will provide a perch that breathes with your body and will break in along with the foam shape for a personalized fit. Be sure to care for your leather saddle with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream. With proper care, your seat will age gracefully developing a unique character and will be your riding buddy for years.
Choose the look that's right for you! Available in plain black for a stealthy look or add chrome studs for a bit more nostalgia. Also available with a new stitch pattern that provides a tasteful and artistic touch (stitch pattern required for heated seat models). All feature the same quality materials on the outside for a luxurious ride.
There's nothing quite like heated seating to raise your core body temperature during those chilly morning rides. As an option, we offer an integrated heater unit under the leather seating. Heat is controlled by a switch located on the left side of the saddle and temperature is maintained automatically via an integrated controller. Installation is simple with a wiring pigtail included that integrates with your factory fuse box.
If you're riding solo and would like to add a bit of storage to your Softail, check out our new Glovebox. Bolting onto your #02-S Corbin backrest in place of a finishing plate to provide convenient locking storage. Sized just ride to keep all your essentials like cell phone, maps, water bottles and spare gloves. Prepainted gloss black and fully lined to protect your cargo. Sorry, the Glovebox will not work with passenger pillion in place. For complete info, just check out our Accessories section.

ERGONOMIC SHAPING: A major part of the design criteria of the Corbin saddle is the Ergonomic shape. This means the saddle's foam shape is designed to emulate the curves of the human body. This provides more square inches of body contact and helps to eliminate hot spots. This shaping also neutralizes the seating platform to help curb sliding in the saddle which reduces fatigue. In a nutshell... more comfort for a longer ride! Just click the button at left for an animation that shows how it works.
PATENTED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY: Always an innovator, Mike Corbin invented Integrated Molding technology which is now the process by which all Corbin saddles are made. This process allows extremely tight tolerances and creates a chemical bond between the foam and base material. To see what this is all about, just click the button for More Info
FIBERTECH™ BASEPAN: A purpose built, hybrid material that provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the Corbin saddle. Provides a precision fit to every arc and contour of the machine and rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint. Click on the button at left to learn more...
GENUINE LEATHER: We use leather in all panels of the seat that contact your body. This provides a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Leather will also break in along with the foam shape to support the personalized fit. Available in a wide range of textures and styles to suit your taste. CORBIN BACKREST SYSTEM: The first and most versatile removable backrest system available for motorcycles! Corbin's backrests provide added vertical back support and long range comfort. Installation: Corbin's Classic Solo & pillions mount with a new key lock system. We include two brackets that bolt up to stock locations on your chassis. Once installed, the seats will install and remove with a simple key lock. This image from a 2006 model differs slightly from the 2008+, please see installation instructions above.
Classic solo installs by sliding the rear seat tab into the Corbin bracket installed on the H-D fender. Then just lower the front of the saddle onto the stainless steel lock pin located near the tank mount. Both of these are simple to install and well within the skills of the weekend mechanic.
Corbin pillion pads are designed specifically for use with the Corbin Solo Saddle and will not work with other brand solo seats. Installation is simple with two stainless steel latch pins included that mount into stock fender locations. Once installed, the pillions slip into place and latch down with a key lock like the solo saddle.
If the main fuse is in the way of installing the bracket, shift it over the battery. The basepan will have a small groove allowing space for the fuse. Shown in the image to the right, move the fuse from point "A" to point "B".
Our most popular backrest model is the perfect blend of form and function. The size looks visually appropriate on most every seat yet is large enough to provide good, sculpted support. Works well in either the rider's or passenger's position. The standard Ovalbac is available with a range of finishing plate options to dress up the rear including chrome! *More Info*
The standard Corbin backrest for years! This model is the same size and shape as the Standard Ovalbac above, but without the hole in the middle. Provides plenty of sculpted back support without looking too big on the bike. Works in both the rider or passenger seating area on virtually all Corbin saddle models. This model also has the option of chrome studs if desired. *More Info*
Like the Standard Ovalbac show above, but with a larger contact area for added support. Works great as a passenger backrest in Dual Touring models. Because of the added width, we do not recommend this model in the front position while carrying a passenger... it may interfere with their legs. Sculpted to provide wide ergonomic support. Offers a variety of finishing plate options to customize the rear (sorry, no chrome). *More Info*
This model is specially designed to be used in the large Dual Touring seats (like HD Baggers) or in Master's Type saddles as found on the Goldwings. Sculpted for extended support both vertically and horizontally, but cut away at the bottom to provide clearance for passenger's legs. A variety of finishing plate options are available to customize the rear. *More Info*
If you want the functionality of a backrest, but also want the smallest appearance possible, this is the backrest model for you. This one is most often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models (thus the name). Includes a variety of finishing plate options for the rear. *More Info*
All the functionality of an adjustable backrest, combined with the smallest profile possible. This model is often used as a rider's backrest in Gunfighter seat models just like the #02-G shown above. Includes genuine leather seating and color coordinating options just like our saddles *More Info*
A convenient storage solution that looks great too. Corbin's Glove Box bolts up easily to your #02-S(B) model backrest in place of the rear finishing plate to provide four liters of locking storage. Available in primer or pre-painted. Some color matches are available depending on bike make and model. Comes fully lined too! *More Info*
Take good care of your new seat and the seat will take good care of you. Designed to help your leather saddle remain weather resistant and keeps the hide supple. This will allow the leather to break in and age gracefully. Great for boots, gloves & jackets too. Simple rub-in, buff out application. *More Info*
