Shown above on 2009 Electra-Glide: You want your 'King to look low and phat, but you have to provide for a passenger... right? In the past, your only option has been a removable pillion seat. But that sometimes didn't look right or left brackets showing on the fender or worse... scratches! That's all changed with Corbin's patented Rumble seat design. This saddle converts instantly from a slick looking solo seat to a generous two-up platform with integrated backrest. No worries, no fuss & no tools required!
Convenient and easy to use, this seat design features an all-new hinge mechanism that secures the fold down backrest in either position effortlessly. Just fold it up or down and our new spring indexed hinge holds it in position and you're ready to roll. Naturally, the saddle looks great in either position and is finished in your choice of styles for a totally custom look.
The comfort is pure Corbin with our exclusive Comfort Cell
® foam material and ergonomically designed seating. The rider's position is sculpted to fit the shape of the human body providing more square inches of body contact and helping to eliminate pressure points that cause hot spots. Inside, our foam material gives a firm, resilient ride that supports you indefinitely. Over time, the foam will actually break in and conform to your specific body shape for a personalized fit. Our foam material feels firm when you first ride it, but this firmness is what gives you the ability to ride great distances in comfort.
In the rear, Rumble seat offers generous passenger accommodations with over 90 square inches of body contact area and nearly a foot of vertical back support. This provides excellent medium range comfort while keeping an exquisite look. When folded down, the passenger rest provides a look similar to our original Gunfighter saddle design. This also gives the front position a bit more low-back support.
On the back of the Rumble Seat, we finish it of with black ABS panels with a leather look. Notice how the saddle is designed to fit perfectly to the tank, chassis and fender. This kind of fit is available only in genuine Corbin saddles through our patented "Integrated Molding" system. This process allows us to engineer extremely tight tolerances and fit complex shapes like that swoopy fuel tank.
For those chilly morning rides we offer an option of heated rider seating. We incorporate a heater unit under the leather seating and a switch on the left side of the saddle so you can turn it on without removing your hand from the throttle. Just flip the switch to the low or high position and the seat will warm up and maintain temperature automatically through an integrated controller. Corbin's heater comes completely pre-installed in the saddle and you need only plug the included pigtail to your fuse box. Note: Passenger seating is not heated on this model.
Why doesn't everybody offer a cool, convertible design like this? Simple: The Rumble Seat is a patented design invented by Mike Corbin over a decade ago! Since then we've perfected the inner workings of the Rumble Seat into the sturdy and durable design you'll find today. Inside the saddle is an entire "sissy bar" assembly that is designed to fold away for that trick Rumble Seat action. To protect it from the elements, the whole internal mechanism is nickel-plated.
Our saddle features genuine leather seating for a perch that breathes with your body and breaks in with the foam shape. We include our tasteful stitch pattern as shown. Choose from a variety of leather styles to customize the look of the saddle or go with the standard natural grain leather (shown) for a subtle look. Leather makes an excellent cover that is extremely durable and luxurious to ride on. As your saddle ages, the leather will take on its own unique character just like your leather jacket does. Just be sure to care for your new saddle properly with a quality leather conditioner like our Saddle Cream.
For simple installation, we've designed this model to work with our new key lock system. Simply install the included stainless steel latch pin into the seat bolt location on your fender. The seat installs with a tongue in the front and a key latch in the rear for simple on and off. If you choose the heated option, we also include the pigtail to wire the saddle directly into your stock fuse box. The heater unit and controller are pre-installed in the saddle.
