Corbin Canyon Close Dual Sport Seat For Ducati ST2 / ST3 / ST4 / ST4-S
Designed using the same criteria as the original Corbin Canyon Dual Sport saddle, with a seating position closer to the bars for easier reach and/or a more aggressive riding posture. This saddle provides excellent long range support so you can rack up the miles on your Sport Touring Ducati. The close version provides total comfort for both rider and passenger on the ST with sculpted riding positions that disperse body weight across a greater area so the rider and passenger enjoy mile after mile of comfort. Neutralized seating positions curb the tendency to slide towards the tank under braking conditions, helping to eliminate rider fatigue.
For even greater passenger comfort, this saddle model accepts our Ovalbac design removable backrest in the rear. Corbin's backrest is fully adjustable to provide a tailored fit to your co-pilot's posture. To keep it looking clean, our backrest installs into hardware built inside the saddle. Installation is a snap with a single set-screw under the saddle to lock it in place.
Leather seating panels are included along with a wide range of decorating options. Our Carbon Fiber style Leather adds excitement and comfort! We use vinyl in the side panels to support the foam shape and keep your saddle looking sharp longer.
Now's a good time to think about which of the seat models will fit you best. Since the ST series is a Sport Touring bike, we tooled up our Standard Canyon Dual Sport and this CLOSE version to give you seating options. The Standard version is built a couple inches further back to give you the ability to slide fore and aft in the seat depending on your comfort position. Corbin's basepan does not include the recessed area built in for the Ducati lock. A flatter basepan gave us more flexibility to design a properly shaped seating position and better ergonomically designed support.
Saddle mounts like stock with tongues in the front and uses your original latch bracket in the rear. When transferring this bracket to the Corbin saddle, be sure to reuse the original flat-head screws to avoid possible scratching.
Our most popular backrest model is the perfect blend of form and function. The size looks visually appropriate on most every seat yet is large enough to provide good, sculpted support. Provides plenty of sculpted back support without looking too big on the bike. Works in both the rider or passenger seating area on virtually all Corbin saddle models. This model is specially designed to be used in the large Dual Touring seats (like HD Baggers) or in Master's Type saddles as found on the Goldwings. Sculpted for extended support both vertically and horizontally, but cut away at the bottom to provide clearance for passenger's legs. All Corbin saddles (with very little exception) include Genuine Leather Seating to provide a luxurious look and feel.... don't let anybody tell you that vinyl is just as good! You wouldn't buy vinyl boots would you?
PLEASE NOTE: Corbin products are designed to fit very close to your bike for a clean look. Due to this, other accessories or options can inhibit proper fit. As an example: Tank Consoles (dashes), ignition modules, exhaust systems, sissy bars, etc. If you have accessories installed on your bike, please let us know so we can verify the fit for you.
SADDLE WARRANTY: Basepan, foam and hardware of the Corbin saddle is warranted to the original owner for life. Cover materials, Heaters and workmanship are warranted for one year. Product will only be authorized to be shipped back, freight pre-paid, for refining of shape or to replace/rectify defective parts. In cases where the rework requires a new cover, a recover charge will be applied. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization number (RMA).
FIBERGLASS WARRANTY: Structural integrity of Corbin fiberglass components are warranted to the original owner for life. Finish and paint are warranted against manufacturing defect for one year. Damage to product and / or painted surfaces from outside forces or misuse is specifically not covered under warranty. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
