If you're not familiar, the
International Six Days Enduro is the world’s largest annual off-road motorcycle competition. Since 1913, countries have sent their most talented riders to exotic locations around the world to be tested on everything from sandy beaches to rocky crevices to deep woods to motocross tracks. The ISDE is truly the Olympics of Motorcycling.
Fun fact: Steve McQueen rode this event back in the 60's when it was still called the ISDT (International Six Day Trial). So basically, Coolness Level = Steve McQueen.
Here's the thing, Hollister native Dante Oliveira has made Team USA and we couldn't be more proud. That's a lot of training, dedication and talent for a guy younger than
Space Jam. Our sincerest congratulations to Dante!
Honestly, this is like qualifying for the Olympics. The down side is that, much like the Olympics, a lot of the financial burden falls on the rider to get there and compete. Despite the lack of sponsorship opportunity (Dante already has a seat sponsor), we're proud to say Mike brought the checkbook to help out anyway. Cudo's Mike, that was a class move!
