If you're currently sporting the BMW Low seat option or considering converting your RT to that configuration, this is the seat model for you. What BMW has done, is remove some of the brackets and adjustable nature of the front seat and provided the lowest perch possible on the chassis. What WE'VE done is taken the same concept and made it as comfortable as possible by using a higher density foam and sculpting the shape for contoured support.
Our high density Comfort Cell foam allows a sleek profile while providing a firm supportive ride that lasts. Rider seating is designed ergonomically to fit the curve of your body for better weight distribution. This also helps to eliminate the centralized pressure felt from the OEM seat. In the nose we sculpt the saddle narrow to allow for good ground reach. Not only have we managed to improve the quality of your ride, but the contoured shaping of the saddle provides a very clean look on the bike as well.
Both the rider and passenger seating areas have the option of a removable backrest for added support and feeling of security. Saddle can use a single backrest transferred front to back as needed or will work with two backrests full time. Corbin backrests are simple to install requiring just a single bolt and are adjustable to provide a tailored fit to posture. Choose from a variety of backrest styles to suit your taste. The #02-SB models shown here offer a very good combination of clean looks with a generous nine inches of vertical support.
Passenger seating area is designed with a neutralized platform to curb sliding forward in the saddle. Dished shaping provides an excellent contact patch while maintaining a clean look. This gives your passenger excellent comfort. The addition of built in backrest support hardware gives your passengers an additional feeling of security while riding too.
Notice how close the Corbin saddle fits to the tank, tail section and sides... this kind of fit comes only from a Corbin saddle and our unique Fibertech basepan. Our rigid base material not only fits perfect to the bike, but provides a firm foundation to support the carefully designed foam shape.
For an added luxurious touch, this saddle is available with the option of electric seat heaters. With the flip of a conveniently located switch built into the left side of the saddle, both the rider and passenger seating platforms will heat up and maintain temperature automatically. Simple to install with just a pigtail wiring to your bike's battery. All other components are built into the saddle and come preinstalled.
On top, we include genuine leather seating panels for a luxurious ride. Our standard design includes Black natural grain leather seating with coordinating vinyl sides and nose for clean, sporty looks. If you'd like something a bit more custom, we also offer a designer model (shown) that features: Black Faux Alligator seating, Natural Black Trim, Carbonium center stripe and Asphalt side panels at no additional cost. A variety of colors and materials are available by special order. All models include moto-sport themed Corbin logo embroidered in side panel.
We use genuine leather seating in all of our saddle models because it breathes with your body and will conform along with the foam shape during break in. This provides an added bit of luxury on those long rides. In the side panels, we use a coordinating vinyl material that will support the foam shape and keep the saddle looking sharp longer. Be sure to care for you leather saddle properly with a quality conditioner like our Saddle Cream. This will help the leather to remain supple and weather resistant while it matures gracefully.
Mounts to the motorcycle just like stock and secures with the BMW key lock system. All brackets are included and premounted on the seat so it's ready for immediate installation. If you opt for electric heat, all components will be built into the saddle and we will include a wiring pigtail for simple installation. Complete directions included.
Want to add a bit of convenient storage without installing a trunk? Corbin's glovebox is an excellent solution for all your quick-access stuff. Simply replace the finishing plate on the #02-SB Ovalbac or #297-SB backrest and you've just added four liters of locking storage capacity. It's plenty for a couple bottles of water, cell phone, spare gloves, maps and other incidentals. Constructed of durable ABS plastic and available plain or prepainted black. About ground reach: You've probably already seen the BMW seating arch & leg curve information... they did a great job of describing how a simple seat height measurement doesn't always give the whole story. For sake of argument, the Corbin low seat is roughly the same as the BMW Low seat, but we did find a little bit of additional ground reach in there. If you refer to the last animation above you will see how the change in seat shape has made reaching the pavement just a smidge easier.

Saddle installs easily with a tab in the front and latch in the rear that integrates with the BMW key lock.
If you opt for electric heat, the heaters, controller and switch will come preinstalled in the saddle. You only have to wire the included pigtail to your motorcycle (complete instructions included).
When an RT is converted to use the BMW Low seat, there are brackets removed to allow for a lower seat base. This will also need to be done for the Corbin seat. Likewise, because of this our standard seats won't fit the Lowered model unless you get the proper brackets from your BMW dealer.

All Corbin saddles (with very little exception) include Genuine Leather Seating to provide a luxurious look and feel.... don't let anybody tell you that vinyl is just as good! You wouldn't buy vinyl boots would you?
PLEASE NOTE: Corbin products are designed to fit very close to your bike for a clean look. Due to this, other accessories or options can inhibit proper fit. As an example: Tank Consoles (dashes), ignition modules, exhaust systems, sissy bars, etc. If you have accessories installed on your bike, please let us know so we can verify the fit for you.
SADDLE WARRANTY: Basepan, foam and hardware of the Corbin saddle is warranted to the original owner for life. Cover materials, Heaters and workmanship are warranted for one year. Product will only be authorized to be shipped back, freight pre-paid, for refining of shape or to replace/rectify defective parts. In cases where the rework requires a new cover, a recover charge will be applied. Cash or credit refunds are not available. All goods being handled for customer service consideration must be accompanied by a Corbin receipt and a Return Material Authorization number (RMA).
FIBERGLASS WARRANTY: Structural integrity of Corbin fiberglass components are warranted to the original owner for life. Finish and paint are warranted against manufacturing defect for one year. Damage to product and / or painted surfaces from outside forces or misuse is specifically not covered under warranty. Cash or credit refunds are not available.
